Born in 1968, at the age of 23 he enrolled at the architecture faculty in Rome while, at the same time, studying to become a professional illustrator.

A few years later he created his own studio: C.atWork (Creatives at Work).
In 2000 he was selected to take part in the Illustrators Exhibition of Bologna Children's Book fair, both in the FICTION and in the NON FICTION sections, and was assigned the catalogue cover.

During his career Garofalo has collaborated with companies, architecture and professional studios as a designer and graphic designer. He has also been actively giving lectures and workshops on visual perception, drawing and children's’ illustration.
