Lead Concept designer, illustrator - Bungie, 343 Industries (Halo), Oculus VR
Gabriel Garza is a senior concept artist with over 18 years of professional experience. As a kid, he was fascinated by Japanese shows and video games. He majored in industrial design at ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, and started his career at El Norte newspaper as an illustrator. Gabriel worked at several game development studios before moving to Seattle, Washington as part of a new Microsoft studio, 343 industries. He became Lead Concept Artist and directed a team of 9 concept artists to shape the look of the Halo franchise.
He currently works as a concept artist creating art in digital and VR form for the flagship products at Oculus/Facebook.
