ANDREA BLASICH
Maquette artist for Pixar, 2K, Lucas Animation, Dreamworks
Andrea Blasich has spent the last 20 years working as a sculptor in the animation industry. He graduated at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan with a Master in Scenography. After a few years working for theaters in Milan, Italy, he started to sculpt for animation, which has always been his passion.

During the next years he worked in London, Milan and Munich and finally in 1997 his dream came true: he landed in the U.S.A. He worked for DreamWorks Animation as a sculptor.
​
His range broadened tremendously as he worked as a sculptor for feature animation including such studios as DreamWorks SKG, Bluesky Studio, Pixar Animation Studio, Lucas Film, Cinderbiter and Disney Animation Studio, also he collaborated for video games (Factor 5, 2K Marin, Thekla) as well as.
Andrea in the past year is concentrating more on his personal sculptures and bronzes. His work has also appeared in exhibitions at Pixar Animation Studio, Cartoon Museum in San Francisco, Nucleus Gallery in Los Angeles, the Society of Illustrators in New York and his bronze animal Swimming Tiger and Dancing Bull were selected as a finalist for the National Sculpture Society 80th & 82th Annual Awards Exhibition at the Tampa Museum of Art, FL (2013) and Brookgreen Gardens, SC. (2015).
